Best pizza around. And don't even get me started on the amazing Brussels sprouts!!! OMG!!! If you go, don't miss out on them!

Heard the sad news this place is closing. Don't know when. Heard the owner is ready to retire. Hope he will share the recipe on those Brussels sprouts before he closes... (hint hint)

    Great wine list too!!! Enjoy!

Dolce Vita is a cute and classy Italian restaurant with a boisterous crowd that serves some of the most unique pizza combinations I've seen, unfortunately none of which appealed to my tastebuds.

Margherita (++): this was my favorite, most because it's a classic combination that can't be tampered with.

Taleggio (+): this pizza was an interesting combination of taleggio, arugula, truffle oil and pears. The pears are raw and thinly sliced, which provided a strange contrast with the abundance of bitter arugula and savory truffle oil. I think this pizza could have been much better sans pears, but I guess that's what makes it so unique.

Zucca (++): I actually appreciated the squash on this pizza, but I felt like the pancetta was too tough.

Salsiccia e friarielli (+): this pizza was like a Chinese stirfry thrown on top of a pizza. It was a little greasier, with cooked leafy greens (rapini), and ground sausage that looked like it could have been a part of burger meat. I personally didn't appreciate the crossover between flavors, although I'm not sure if that's what they were aiming for.

Rigatoni, alla carbonara (++): this pasta was the best dish of the night even though we came for the pizza. We were pleasantly surprised by the flavoring, generous heaping of cheese, and how the pasta was cooked to al dente.

Overall, the pizza quality (i.e. dough and freshness of ingredients) was favorable but I was not impressed with the flavoring combinations. If I return, I think I would try more of their muted pizzas or their other pastas. Also quick tip, if you forgot to make a reservation and want to eat in-house, you can always order food to go and just eat outside on their cute little patio that's decorated with lights!

Woooow this place is so fantastic! I've come here two times before years ago, but recently went again and was so blown away by the pizza and dessert. The Margherita pizza with Sausage was so great- the sauce is delicious and the pizza doesn't feel heavy- I definitely almost finished my whole pizza. The pear pizza with arugula was also super good-  surprisingly. Never imagined the combination, but it definitely worked.
The molten chocolate cake with hazelnuts and icecream was delicious but not molten at all- so don't be as disappointed when you spoon it open as I was. The panna cottas are delicious and light though- do recommend!

Fresh. Yummy. Very reminiscent of our Italy travels and all the pizza we devoured there. Make a rezzy if it's peak time or prepare to wait!

The calamari is to die for! The Pizza is true authentic to my Italian blood. Thank you for bringing a touch of home to Houston. I am in love with this restaurant. The Prosecco is true modern taste fresh and so ripe.
